It is only fair to start this jocular list by naming one of Arnold Schwarzenegger classics, Commando. The plot of this film was not the joke; in fact, the plot is what saved this movie from being labeled as a comedy. In Commando, the lousy lines are what made this so-called serious film funny.

The second film on the list is a Chuck Norris production — Delta Force 2. It is not hard to see why this film made it on this jocular list. After all, the title itself — “The Colombian Connection” — gave both, viewers and critics a good enough reason to crack a smile, or worse, laugh at the entire film.

Unfortunately, the film, Death Wish 3, made its way on this list because of its abject production. The first Death Wish was cult-related, and the second Death Wish was a great follow-up of the first one. However, the third Death Wish clearly dropped the ball. The uncontrollable, senseless violence is what turned this film into a joke.

When craving a film that is packed with action, consider watching, “Stone Cold.” Then again, thanks to the poor performance of the director, this film is a total joke for several reasons. It is funny because it is obvious that the actors were giving it their all.

Picking out the memorable movie moments of the new millennium is an easier task now than it will be in 990 years time. The first decade did not see the production of many films that would go the greatest films of all time. Even though few films will echo through the ages, there are many movies that will remain in the minds of those who saw them.

Many of the most touching moments came from animated films. Toy Story 3′s final scene shows the passing of the torch and giving Buzz, Woody and the rest of the gang to a new owner remained sad but sweet. It also reminds us that children grow up. Another good moment is when Wall-E first meets Eve. The robotic romance may be a little unusual, but it furthers the movie’s plot. Rounding out the final movement is Pixar’s Up. The first 30 minutes of the film tells the story of an old man’s life and the story of his lost love.

Live-action films have not done as well for memorable moments. Even Annakin Skywalker’s conversion into Darth Vader does not quite ring out in the memory. Everyone knew what happened to Annakin Skywalker. Live action films will catch up to animated features eventually. The makers of live action films have not done so yet. What’s 1 more click? Your boss isn’t watching… Must See Action Films of the Summer

The production of independant films has become one of the greatest genres of films in the history, and has become ever more popular today, with more and more small companies and producers, putting out indie films, to reach a niche audience, and particular fans which are looking for a specific movie style. Indie films have been in existance for years, and early on, although they were accepted by some, many people preferred watching movies produced by the larger movie corproations out in the industry.Confused? Here ‘s a little help .

Today, with all the technology, special effects, and ways to produce a film, indie producers have really taken advantage of free resources, and are capable of putting on a production which in the past was unthinkable. So, today, if you are a fan of indie actors, producers, and films in general, supporting this genre of film is something that was much more enjoyable than it has been in the past. Indie films producers have so many great resources, that even with their limited budgets and limited cast members, they are capable of producing a quality production for fans, at the least cost to them. Indie films have really come a long way, and today are one of the most popular genres.

This year’s blockbusters can be divided into three basic categories: remakes, reboots and big concepts, with some a combination of all three. In the 1990s, a Tom Hanks and Julia Roberts together in a movie would have been box office gold. In 2011, the result was little audience interest due in part to lackluster plot. Cars 2 and Kung Fu Panda 2 didn’t pack the same punch as their predecessors.

Scream 4 didn’t scare up much of an audience and J.J. Abrams and Steven Spielberg delighted fans with the nostalgic sci-fi charm of Super 8. Russel Brand didn’t do Arthur justice and Jim Carrey seemed like a pale imitation of himself at his peak in Mr.Is this new to you? Catch up here Popper’s Penguins. Here’s a look at some of the year’s other blockbusters, both good and bad.

The Hangover Part II (May) – Everybody came back for this second outing in this visual aid on what can happen when you consume way too much alcohol when preparing for a wedding. The resulting stupidity isn’t quite as amusing this time, especially since the setup is pretty the same story in a different city.

The Smurfs (July) – A live action/CGI version of the classic characters that dominated Saturday morning in the ’80s seemed like a good idea. The result is a series of one-liners and sight gags with some form of “smurf” substituting for every third word. It gets old quick and so does this movie. For a good idea of how this concept can work, see Hop.

Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides (May) – This fourth installment of the franchise based on a Disney ride focuses on the search for the Fountain of Youth. Johnny Depp’s Jack Sparrow holds up surprisingly well. The result is a step up from 2007′s disappointing Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End and a great place to dock this franchise.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II (July) – The tale of the boy wizard has been delighting fans for a decade. This final installment in the series ranks up there with the first two movies as the best of the lot. A perfect example of how special effects and an engaging storyline can be combined for impressive results.

Captain America: The First Avenger (July) – It’s been a mixed year for superhero flicks. The Green Hornet, Green Lantern and X-Men: First Class were starting to make 2011 a bad year for superheros. Then this movie comes along as proof positive that the genre is still alive and well. Director Joe Johnston combines visual effects with a coherent storyline serving as perfect setup for next year’s Avengers movie.
